Rainy Weather, High Surf Expected In SF Today

 

A storm system is bringing rain, hail and high surf to the Bay Area today, a National Weather Service forecaster said.

Although rainfall across the region is not expected to measure more than a quarter of an inch, the storm system will likely bring isolated heavy showers and some small hail, forecaster Steve Anderson said.

Scattered showers are expected to continue through this afternoon, Anderson said.

Following the storm front is a series of ocean swells that has prompted the weather service to issue a high-surf advisory for the Bay Area coastline, Anderson said.

“The swells are coming in a little bit behind the storm today,” he said…
