Ron Jon Surf Shop opens on Las Vegas Strip

While casino operators are still waiting to move into Florida, one Sunshine State company is making its move into Sin City.
Cocoa Beach-based Ron Jon Surf Shop plans to open its first Nevada location at Las Vegas’ Shoppes at Mandalay Place shopping and dining complex Nov. 19. The 2,700 square-foot store, which has been in the works for more than a year, will be operated by Kine LLC.
Never mind the seeming oddity of putting a surf shop in a town 270 miles from the ocean. Debbie Harvey, Ron Jon Surf Shop’s president and COO, said, “We’ve been looking at expansion opportunities for some time and feel that we’ve found the perfect operator with an excellent location on the Vegas strip.”
Scott Santy, owner of Kine LLC, also owns Flip Flop Shops in the same complex.
