Updated: 11:16, Wednesday November 30, 2011
A teen celebrating schoolies in Bali has been attacked by a shark.
Mark Andrews was surfing with schools friends at a beach near Tabanan when he was attacked at about 1.30pm yesterday. The 18 year old was bitten on his right hand and required emergency surgery.
He was undergoing treatment at the Bali International Medical Clinic last night.
BIMC emergency department nurse Romi Putu, who treated the teen, said there did not appear to be any nerve or tendon damage.
Mr Andrews is expected to make a full recovery once surgeons stitched up his hand.
