WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Another surfer was bitten by a shark Tuesday afternoon while surfing off Figure Eight Island.
Hunter Anderson says a shark about four to six feet long bit him on his left hand. Anderson got stitches, but is otherwise OK. He and another friend were paddling out to catch a wave when the shark bit him. No one else was hurt.
It’s at least the third shark bite near that area in the last two months.
