Bra Boys director is Fighting back

Australian sales company Odin’s Eye has picked up international rights to Fighting Fear, an action-drama directed by Macario De Souza, who previously co-directed Australia’s biggest ever documentary Bra Boys.
Thematically, the feature film picks up where Bra Boys left off, and follows a pair of self-confessed trouble-makers, one a big-wave surfer, the other a mixed martial arts cage fighter. It also sees the re-teaming of De Souza with Bra Boys’ executive producer Michael Lawrence and veteran producer Sue Masters to shape three years of footage.
Produced by Garage Entertainment, it will be released theatrically in Australia on 10 Nov 2011, on some 40 screens. Garage will handle the release itself in association with Hoyts and Sharmill Entertainment.
“We had been aware of the project for some time and were genuinely moved by the depth of friendship between these two ‘tough’ guys and its insights into the male psyche,” said Odin’s Eye director Michael Favelle in a statement.
