British Man Paddleboards Entire Length Of Mississippi River

Dave Cornthwaite has conquered the Mississippi, all 2,300-plus miles and he’s managed to do it on nothing more than a paddleboard.

The British man set out on his trip two-and-a-half months ago, completing his adventure just one day before his US Visa is set to expire.

Cornthwaite not only completed his journey at 31-years-old, he earned himself a place in the Guinness Book of World Records after traveling all the way from Elk Lake, Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico.

As if one record wasn’t enough the London man has also traveled across the more than 2,000 miles of Australia using nothing more than a skateboard.

Next up for Cornthwaite are 21 more planned expeditions involving motor-free transportation, he has already completed a 1,500 mile kayaking trip across the Austrlian river and a tandem-biking tour from Vancouver to Las Vegas.

Next summer Cornthwaite plans to travel 1,000 miles in a wheelchair.

Not only is the British man setting world records, he’s hoping to raise $1.6 million for East African communities and a breast cancer charity.

In the meantime here’s a video featuring Dave Cornthwaite and his paddle board adventure
