Eight shark sightings close WA beaches

Multiple shark sightings close to shore in Western Australia’s southwest have forced the closure of some beaches.

Surf Life Saving WA (SLSWA) says Bunbury and Dalyellup beaches were closed on Sunday morning after eight sharks were sighted between 30m and 50m offshore in the area.

Two three-metre sharks were sighted in front of the Hungry Hollow Pub, two sharks were reported at the groyne opposite Bunbury Marina and one shark was spotted near Dalyellup Road.

An unidentified 2.5m shark was sighted at the end of Mangles Street, a 3.5m shark was spotted 400m off Hastie Street, and a three-metre shark was spotted south of Hastie Street.
