High surf advisory along Bay Area coast

(03-31) 13:34 PDT — A high surf advisory will go into effect this evening and continue throughout the weekend along the Bay Area coast, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning about big waves and swells goes into effect at 5 p.m. today and is set to expire 5 a.m. Monday along the coastal North Bay, the San Francisco-Peninsula coast and southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur coasts.
Weather officials said swells are expected to range from 15 to 20 feet with steep breakers reaching up to 22 feet in some locations…
