Man critical after pulled from Cronulla surf

A MAN believed to be aged in his 50s is in a critical condition after he was pulled unconscious from the water at Cronulla this morning.

A Cronulla lifeguard said the man was surfing behind the rockpool at North Cronulla when his leg-rope snapped and he lost his board.

Lifeguards and members of the public found him floating in the water and pulled him up onto the south end of the rockpool and commenced CPR.

An Ambulance Service of NSW spokesman paramedics arrived about…
