High Surf Warning Posted With Dry, Windy Weather Leeward

It’s surfs up on the north shore. Way up.The National Weather Service has posted a high surf warning for the north and west shores of Kauai and Niihau, and the north shore of Oahu Saturday.The swell was building through Saturday and even got so big at Pipeline that the Volcom Pipe Pro had to be shutdown after just a few heats.Those monstrous waves will be dropping down Sunday to advisory levels, but should still deliver plenty of double to almost triple over-head sets.Another round of warnings is expected Monday as the swell gets reinforced. Wave faces are currently predicted to reach over 25 feet then.Along with those waves, Leeward sides of all islands are expected to remain dry and windy through Sunday afternoon.Gusty winds and relatively low humidity, combined with…
