Oahu flood warning canceled, high surf advisory extended

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The National Weather Service has canceled the flash flood warning for the island of Oahu, but heavy rainfall may still cause damage around the state.

A flash flood watch has been issued for Oahu, Kauai and Nihau until 6 a.m. Saturday, as the National Weather Service says thunderstorms are still moving across the state and may cause flooding to occur if the storms intensify.

The flash flood watch previously issued for the islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai has also been canceled.

A high surf advisory for east facing shores of the islands of Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Maui and the Big Island is in effect until 6 p.m. Sunday…
