Surfer dies at popular break

A SURFER catching breaks in Elleker has died of as-yet unknown causes.

The man was found facedown floating in the water by his friends at about 8am this morning.

He was pulled out of the water by his fellow surfers, but was pronounced dead at the scene by officers from St John Ambulance.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the man’s death but say it was not a shark attack…
