Surfers along the Southern California coast caught some big waves Sunday thanks to a large west swell, and weather officials said a high surf advisory will continue until noon Monday.

“The highest we got here was Ventura Harbor had 14 feet and Channel Islands Harbor had 10 feet,” said Stuart Seto of the National Weather Service in Oxnard, adding that the measurements were taken at 1 p.m. Sunday. “Hermosa had 8 feet.”
