A Brevard County teenager was the latest victim bitten while surfing at New Smyrna Beach, according to Volusia County Beach Safety.
Officials said a 13-year-old girl suffered a minor cut, about three inches long, to the heel of her foot and was treated and released at the scene.
They believe the shark was about three to four feet long.
Officials said a family member drove her to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The latest shark bite makes a total of seven reported along the Volusia County coast.
The cloudy, churning water mixed with higher-than-normal bait fish is a combination which can and has led to shark bites.
It was just a few miles down the coast this past Saturday where two surfers were bit within minutes of each other.
Fishermen said late last week mullet are drawing the sharks in so close to shore and they will most likely hang around for a few more weeks.
